Future Plans

The reality of the situation is that governance and ownership are not the most exciting thing in the NFT space. Governance and ownership are important to long-term thinkers who want to operate with sovereignty in web3, but not as much to those interested in 'traditional' web3/NFT utility.

We, luckily, have the resources to build these 'traditional' forms of utility on top of our foundation as the most decentralized and autonomous NFT organization on Solana. The first and truest NFT DAO.

Luckily we also have a substantial treasury and native incentive machnisms which have recently been put in place to facilitate the further development of services and products that will provide value to DAO members on top of the inherent ownership and governance power held by veSDUST lockers.

This is the long term vision.

Eventually, $SDUST staking will end forever, but veSDUST lockers will still be the owners of the DAO. They may decide to make most governance decisions based on 1 NFT = 1 Vote basis, or not. But what will be sure is that after $SDUST is no longer attainable from the NFTs, the NFTs remain as the only way to become a member, access our utilities, and the more NFTs you have the better terms you will be provided by the DAO. NFT holders and DAO owners will remain aligned for the long term.

'Utility'

So in this vision for the Solien DAO, there will be hundreds if not thousands of active DAO members who are constantly participating in DAO activities, making use of DAO platforms, and this will primarily be facilitated through the DAO acting more like an entity, a club, which people can join - but not own. It will be a badge that means something across multiple web3 native games, and allow anyone who is part of the DAO to have access to some of the top assets these platforms have to offer.

Outside of the metaverse, the DAO may end up investing more resources into expanding the website to include additional tooling and opportunities to earn crypto through providing effort which contributes to the expansion of the DAO. The $SDUST will continue to exist and play a crucial role in the operations of the DAO, but it will not be available in the same ways it is now.

The vision is that most people who are interacting with the DAO are doing it from within a web3 native environment and they are simply brought to us by products of services we offer, which are greatly enhanced if you are a DAO member - and even more greatly enhanced if you are a large holder.

What could this look like? There's really countless ways we can activate to offer services to the ecosystem, and ways to create clear benefits for members within those services or products. Many of them can be white labeled using DAO resources, while many others can be created from scratch using developers within the DAO, compensated by the DAO.

The sky is the limit when you have a global collective of incentivized individuals, who can create value for the collective, in exchange for ownership of the collective.
