The Pre-Sale
In August 2021, the Solien DAO launched with the Pre-Sale that included 500 Stardust Tokens & 10 Galileo Tokens sold via auction on Holaplex. This was the initial point that seeded the DAO, with our first proposals coming days later - making us the first true NFT DAO on Solana.

The Mint Event
In September 2021, the DAO grew immensely as the mint of 10,101 Soliens was underway, made possible by our partners at silly little DAO and GenesysGo who helped us with minting infrastructure in a world before the widespread use of candy-machine. Without them, Soliens would not exist.
Unfortunately, our mint price was 3 SOL and in the time between announcement and mint, SOL had nearly tripled. As a result only 3418 Soliens were minted before we closed the mint. 601 were allocated to community OG's, and developers. These funds went towards paying the artist, developers, and further seeding the DAO. Soon after which, our first proposals as a much larger DAO were around purchasing ships for our Star Atlas fleet.
Since then, the DAO has been heads-down figuring out internal structures, configuring on-chain tooling for governance, and expanding to other play-to-earn games such as Photo Finish Live.
Our strong community helped us survive the bear market from 2022-2024, overcoming countless obstacles that caused 99.99% of projects from our time fail. Instead, Soliens kept building.
We are now revamping our internal tooling, website, art, and royalties as new members with a wider range of skills and views trickle in to guide the DAO into it's next era. We hope to have you along for the ride.
